March Pack Meeting

Greetings Scouts!

The Big Blast was a giant hit. We had 17 families at the launch site, and even though we were somewhat hidden, everybody eventually found us and we all had fun.

The next pack meeting will be March 30th at the school. This meeting's theme will be centered around the 5th grade Webelos bridging into boy scouts. As always, we will have games and activities for everyone, and awards will still be presented for all of the dens. We will be presenting 3 of our Weblos with the Arrow of Light award, then say good-bye to our 5th graders as we end the evening with an emotional slide show and bridging ceremony.

For this evening, all 5th grade Webelos MUST show up in uniform! If you don't show up in uniform, you will NOT participate in the ceremony. You will still bridge, but you won't do it in front of the Pack. I will be sending home letters explaining the details after this week's den meeting.

Have a great week. We'll see you all on the 30th.

Big Blast Rocket Launch

March 14th is our 2009 BIG BLAST! Rocket Launch. We'll be joining the Troop at Lucerne Dry Lake for a day of fun with rockets, tennis balls, dirt, and running around. We'll have contests to see who's rocket goes the highest, farthest, and most original flight path. We've been working hard on our rockets, and they are looking good. Now we'll find out if they fly.

We'll meet at the school parking lot at 8:00 in the morning and plan on leaving by 8:30. Bring water and food, 'cause I won't have any for you. I'll supply the launching pads and bring some extra motors if you want to buy some more. $2 for the C6-5 and $1 for the A3-5.

If you haven't paid for you rocket, yet, get me $8 ASAP. This just covers the cost of the kit and the motors.

For more info, leave a comment or send me an email.

See you at the Big Blast!

Welcome to the Blog

Hey guys! Welcome to our blog. I thought I would create a blog for our Pack. I'll put stuff up here about our events, stories about things that happen in our pack, and anything else you guys want up here. It will be evolving and hopefully getting better. Leave me an email and let me know what you think.
